Somehow I lost my track in logging my yoga practice in the blog, although I managed well to stick to my schedule (two classes per week, and one or two additional home practises). In fall our yoga teacher Sabina focused her classes around the seven spiritual laws of Yoga.
An then in November I headed together with a good friend for a yoga holiday in Thailand. We were a group of nine yoginis (mainly from UK) and had a marvellous week, with yoga classes twice a day, on a beautiful platform with direct sea view. The yoga there was very demanding - kind of power yoga, with a very muscular teacher at 30 degrees in the shadow. Her main storyline was the topic of gratitude - which was not very difficult in this wonderful place.
What I really learned during my Thailand trip, was to listen to my body and to stop when it was too much. In my yoga school here in Salzburg I am always going till the end, and therefore it was in a way quite helpful for me, to be in class, which I could obviously not follow completely. On the other site I gained a lot of strength during this two weeks and felt really well, after my return home.
With the beginning of the new year I felt ready for the advanced class at my yoga school. This was a good decision. It is a smaller group and I feel very fine being a bit more challenged in class.....
