Days 29 - 31: Sad yoga

Found out on Friday that my feline companion of 14 years has kidney failure. I will miss him greatly, but catching it early should give me a little more time with him. Made it a challenge to be present in class. Thurs. was an energetic, athletic class, Friday was mellow candlelight yoga and Saturday was a challenging, very hot and humid class.

Hey Steven, don't despair. My Skeeter (the white kitty in my photos) lived to 19.5 years, the last several with kidney disease. I did everything I could to make her as comfortable and happy as possible, which I'm sure you will do for yours too. They are such joy to have in our lives, and the time goes by so quickly! He is lucky to have you to care for him.

So sorry to hear that. We had to have our 15-year-old cat put down last year for the same reason- it came on very suddenly and there was nothing to be done. Glad you get some time with your companion to say goodbye.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Steven. It's amazing how much the little bundles of fluff get under our skin and into our hearts. I hope you're enjoying lots of cuddles.
