I had hatha class today. Thirty-one days in a row! Thanks so much Yogamum for starting this great challenge. I'll be back in February. Over the past few days I've been thinking about the benefits I've noticed from practicing everyday. It is laaatteee, but I'll try to remember a few.

I did my practice first thing this morning and was glad to have it "out of the way" for the rest of the day. This last week has felt more like I'm pushing myself to practice instead of being drawn to the practice. But the good feeling is also to go into my day knowing I've kept a commitment to myself.
My husband and I attended our Tuesday Hatha class today. After struggling with motivation to practice over the last few days, it was a relief to get to class and just follow. I decided to dial back today to my old home practice. I still get inversions, but I feel more right about holding poses as long as I like. I had abbreviated ashtanga practice today and will probably do more this evening. I had to cut it short to get lunch over to school for my daughter. Were it not for this forum, I'd have missed practice today. I spent most of the day on a historic review request submission that one city planner told me I needed before submitting plans. Late in the day, I called in for clarification on one part of the form and learned that it wasn't really needed (from a planning manager) yet.

I'm loving how my recently revived ashtanga practice is providing me with such a well-rounded work out. I'm hesitating to type "workout" because it is so much more than that. The past couple of days I've been appreciating how I can make so much progress physically with so little gear.
