Day 31 - Hooray! What a GREAT experience!

I had hatha class today. Thirty-one days in a row! Thanks so much Yogamum for starting this great challenge. I'll be back in February. Over the past few days I've been thinking about the benefits I've noticed from practicing everyday. It is laaatteee, but I'll try to remember a few.

Day 30 - Final Ashtanga of the Month


I did my practice first thing this morning and was glad to have it "out of the way" for the rest of the day. This last week has felt more like I'm pushing myself to practice instead of being drawn to the practice. But the good feeling is also to go into my day knowing I've kept a commitment to myself.

Day 28 - Blazing Saddles Yoga (or - what in the Sam Hill is goin' on around here?)

Weeellll... I was a major slug today and did not do my ashtanga routine. However, at 11:30PM (PM!!!) I slimed my way into the living room and did my 20 min "vitality & rejuvenation" routine. Day 27 - More Focused and Unhurried Practice Today

hey hikejmt - thanks for your note.
I'm back and am catching up on everyone's blogs. You are very smart to listen to your body and do what practice is right for you. I've enjoyed catching up on all your photo's too - they are awesome.
I finally had my husband take some shots of me during my practice, I was actually pleasantly suprise how nice some of them turned out. I'm thinking come February I might post some pic's.

Hi Lauri - Thanks for your comment. The foot photos just sort of happened - now I'm hoping I can come up with a new idea for the rest of the month. Yeah, my mom is great. She's actually practicing everyday, but can't blog because her server is down. Enjoy the book!

Well, I spent most of today driving over the mountains and back again in POURING rain and LOTS of fog. I kept my flashing lights on much of the time so I would not get rear ended! Dad had some dizzy spells yesterday so they wanted us to come in today. He is okay - just effects of so much lupron. So I did not "DO" Yoga today, but I had printed off a number of pages on Yoga and poses that I took with me and read them while waiting for the Dr. I will put some of them in practice tomorrow. I almost purchased a yoga mat today, but figure the rug in the RV is fine for now. I am getting more comfortable with the many definitions and poses, and am really anxious to make it a daily habit. Oh! The Dr. told Dad he ought to continue and do more Yoga!
