When I look in the mirror, I sometimes see either the snake or the lover. My temper and my level of irritation are both things I try to keep in check. Some days I need to repeat this in my head over and over and over again. I know that I withhold. When I think something is being taken from me. When I think that sharing will lead to losing. What I have to remind myself is that if I lose something, I wasn't meant to have it, and I believe, as a punishment for withholding, the universe often takes the joy out of having.
