My practice mostly consists of Ashtanga and Vinyasa yogas, but my true yoga love is Bikram (however, I've been relegated to a home practice for the past 5 years so, well, it's not the same...)

Days 4 & 5

My foot is feeling stiffer than before, but I'm doing so much more I guess it's not too surprising! The most frustrating things about breaking my foot have been 1) Having to rely on others to do things for me, 2) Having to slow down, 3) Weight gain and now that I'm free of my cast I'd say 4) Not getting better fast enough.

See a pattern here?

Oh, and I should mention that my accident was due to bad judgement because I was in a hurry...

Day Three...

My silly foot was rather stiff this morning (boo) so I dropped down to just 15 minutes. I did, however, notice a slight improvement compaired to yesterday (yippie). I just don't want to end up with an additional soft tissue injury knowing that my foot/ankle alignment isn't spot on. I feel very motivated knowing that by the end of the month my foot/ankle will be far more happy - as will I be!

Days 1 & 2

I'm so happy to say that I am in! After breaking my foot and blowing two ligaments in a bicycle accident in November, I found myself feeling rather sorry for myself - a big ole cast will do that to you I guess. I'm an avid runner (about 45mi/week) and try to be an avid yogini. My cast has been off for two weeks, but walking has been very difficult. Until three days ago. Meditation...be still my beating heart!

I think that the theme for October is very well chosen, and timed, considering that for many of us Autum is a time of rushing into new schedules, new schools, trying to batten down the hatches before winter officially arrives...
I have always been a very energetic person (hyper?) and it's never been what I would call a burden, on the contrary, this force has helped me to be very goal driven and to work well in reaching deadlines, etc.

Vegan! I have to get back to that! I fell off the wagon and went back to Vegetarian last month. It was just pure laziness on my part.So while foun asana do you incorporate some Bad Brains or Flogging Molly? That wouldbe a fun practice!
