We do what we can in this crazy and fast moving life we live in. At least we end up returning to our practice from time to time, and even if it's not a practice of Asanas, just being compassionate and caring, improving our lives through our gestures, reaching out to people, etc..we are truly LIVING OUR YOGA! I'm offering an Outdoor Yoga class this coming Sunday in Hudson (in my backyard), let me know if ever this interests you. I will have many weekend classes throughout the Summer. Here is the link if ever you want to register for e-mails regarding the upcoming practices: http://www.meetup.com/Hudson-Vaudreuil-Yoga-Meetup-Group/
Have yourself a wonderflu week Pat! THe sun will be returning tomorrow!
Cheers!

The problem with 30 minute (or forty or fifty...) practices is that you effectively have no time left for the day to day processes of living if you're a parent...I was very encouraged by one yoga teacher who...Actually, I'm going to add this as a comment on the parents' group page! I've been very slack there...

15 to 20 mins is all I generally manage most days! Fitting in yoga around work and engaging as actively as I can with our 1yo and 5yo doesn't leave any more time really...

YOGA WITH MOMMY..

I am kind of late in posting this (no time no time)..Last sunday, I went with my daughter to a studio in our community where they offer yoga classes for children. She really enjoyed it, and has been pestering me for the past week to go with her again. She is actually really cute, showing everyone who wants to see what she has learned in yoga class.
Today I was not FEELING so well so I did not go with her nor did I practice at home..I basically let my emotions eat me alive..I hate this this Postp… Continue

I'M BACK!

I wanted to take a couple of days off from practicing yoga, but then my back aches came back. Back aches that I did not even realize were gone in the first place.. anyways I resumed back to my practice today with a hot yoga class of 90 minutes.. this was with one of my favorite teachers: Vanessa. It's not that I don't like the other teachers but with Vanessa there is a connection and she pushes me ever so slightly into a deeper pose or into a deeper concentration. She and I were discussing a boo… Continue

Day 27,28,29,30

Today I went to a hot yoga class after one week of not going to the studio, my husband was out of town on a business trip and I really did not want to go to 'baby and mommy yoga' since my daughter is a bit fussy (well very fussy, I don't want her screaming her lungs off in front of the whole Yoga class)... during the week I did my 15 minutes of sun salutations and breathing exercises as usual. I just can't believe that january is already coming to an end!

Same ol' same ol'

The last few days have been the same yoga wise, nothing really exciting, I do my 15-20 minutes of asanas any time I can during the day (where kids/husband are not needing attention).
I went to a hot yoga practice yesterday (and the day before) though, and I have realized that my body was not stiff or aching afterwards (it actually felt relaxed); I don't know if something is wrong and I have to change my practice or push myself more while in the postures but it felt good (having my body feeling s… Continue
