Great news about our next class :) Regarding the notes, i really don't want to burden you with any extra work (it's already so kind of you to share your time and knowledge with us!) As for the grinding, it's just a noise. i'll ask paolo if he can ...

The video is on the main page here - it's lovely. I have not come across a specific type of Yoga that fits what you are looking for - but hopefully, the classes we have will meet some of your wishes.

YEA!!! Welcome to WoYo! I created a group called "Rome Yoginis" for us... sign up when you have a chance. So good to see you this morning! I was just watching a video someone posted on here of their walk to the Yoga shala in Bali. xx

Profile Information

Relationship Status:
Married
What type of yoga do you practice?
A mix - I have practiced Kundalini, Iyengar, Sivananda and Anusara yoga. I've since been trying to find something in-between that offers the structure and preciseness of Iyengar with the spiritual/meditative elements of Kundalini, but with more of a flow. I imagine there's a yoga out there for me, but haven't found it yet.
How long have you been practicing yoga?
On and off (mostly off), but started in 1998
About Me:
My oldest sister is 12 years older and I remember in the '70's she practiced yoga (alongside her copies of "The Prophet" and "Jonathan Livingstone Seagull") as that was the "in-thing" at the time. I rediscovered yoga in 1998 at Yoga Works in Los Angeles and was introduced to Kundalini yoga. Even though there is a distinctive religious element to Kundalini the yoga teacher who taught the 6 week workshop was not at all proselytizing. I remember coming out of those classes feeling incredibly light and peaceful and energized. Fast forward to Rome, Italy where I tried to find a yoga studio, but 10 years ago there was nothing to be found that didn't resemble a throw-back to the '70's with everyone dressed in white and taking themselves much too seriously. I tried several home practices and as well as private teachers and failed to be regular about it. I finally found an Iyengar studio near my home with a German teacher who was quite good and she got me interested in yoga again, but getting pregnant with my third child - and having a business to run - my time does not seem my own.
