i am back here and back to my yoga practice.... i had a hysterectomy 7 weeks ago tomorrow... i was cleared last Monday the 20th of April to practice yoga again... so i did the next 4 days in a row...and then took a walk on Saturday.... i practice...

I just looked that up. That must be very tough (though at least its not what I thought it was being an ignorant male). I'm not the praying kind but my thoughts are with you - hope it goes well and that you're surrounded by support...

i will be having a total vaginal hysterectomy on March 9th.... i think i will be able to return to gentle yoga in 8 weeks..possibly 10... has anyone had a hysterectomy here? how did your yoga practice go after the hysterectomy? thanks Jennifer

i will be having a TVH (total vaginal hysterectomy) on March 9th...... its been a long wait.....

sighs.. well i did not manage to do yoga for at least ten minutes a day every day.....

i was in great pain because i have a prolapsed uterus that is getting worse.... i see a doctor about it on Monday...
and then it was that time of the month..making things even worse .......

i have a lot of pelvic pain and pressure.....

i am sorry i could not keep it up... this isn't to say i haven't been doing yoga at all... i have been....
just not every day......

yoga for Jan. 5th....

did ten minutes of yoga...kind of took it easy as my back still hurts.....
my hamstrings still ache... i must have really really overdone it on New Year's Day...

my next yoga class is Wednesday Morning.....

it is a gentle practice.....

i look forward to it...

Yoga for Jan. 4th

i only did my ten minutes of yoga yesterday... still in pain from Jan. 1st workout...i think.....

also my hubby has gotten so large...that snuggling with him warps my back... as we "spoon"....
that is why i am up at this ungodly hour......

yesterday..i did a lot of cat/cows.....some downward facing dogs....with knees bent....
i did the typical standing poses.... triangle, side angle, wide legged forward bend, pyramid pose....at least that

today i did most of Rodney Yee's Backcare Video.....

i stopped when one needed a chair because most of our chairs are on wheels....
i have seen those backless folding chairs ..i believe at Gaiam.com or Huggermugger.com

but i thought it was a little pricey for a backless folding chair....

anyway..got to use my bolster for the first time..so that was cool.....

felt like warmed over crap today

argh.... i felt like warmed over crap today... i think...despite my many restings in child's pose...that i may have pushed myself a little too hard yesterday.....

i ache everywhere!

today i only practiced for ten minutes..... i did two downward facing dog poses...several rounds of cat/cow....two wide angled forward bends..... triangle, warrior I and II,and a couple of plain ol' forward bends...
