Day 16 - stressing

Well, the yoga is going fine, had my usual shala practice again today, plus drop backs. Drop backs were fine on the way down, but there wouldn't have been a way up without a good yank by D!!

Now I am stressing about getting ready for skiing. Can I practice in my pyjamas? I don't think there is room for yoga kit in my bag. Argh. I am really wishing I had booked tomorrow off work, rather than thinking it would be fine to go to work then to the airport in the afternoon. I am now not sure

Day 14 and 15

Day 14 - I did a home ashtanga practice on Monday, with my stand in Neighbour. She enjoyed it but isn't accustomed to practicing so early in the morning, so said she spent most of the time feeling sick. It reminded me of my first morning practice, I felt totally spaced out for the rest of the day! Now I am on good terms with early morning, and find that my back even bends before 8am!

Whilst doing the poses I was also reading Gregor Maehle's Ashtanga Yoga Practice and Philiosphy, which has some very nice muscle diagrams of what is stretching in these… Continue

Day 12

Wow, January is going quickly, I can't believe its the 12th already!

As today is Saturday and ladies holiday for me, I did a very yin practice this morning. I like this WoYoPracMo though, because otherwise I probably would just have stayed in bed a little longer!

Day 11 - usual story

Every normal today except some delay on the train meaning I had to cut my practice short. It was lovely and warm in the shala, so everything went well. I finished at Supta K in order to get into the office on time, but it was a lovely supta K, a special one to be remembered! My knee was ok today too.
